Ephesians 5:11

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.”

We are not to have fellowship with the darkness that surrounds us.

This darkness surrounds us at all stops, the television, the newsstands, the workplace and the list goes on and on, we are not to have fellowship with it. We are not to commit spiritual adultery with it.

We need God’s grace to stay unspotted from the world, but he will give us that grace if we ask for it.

His word says that his grace is sufficient for us.

We must take him at his word, believe his promises and shun the darkness of this present world. Even if that means we look foolish to the outside world.

Spurgeon put it this way we are thought to be fools by fools.
