Matthew 16:24

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

There are things we must do if we are going to follow Christ. We must deny our self (not do our own will), but his will.

Take up our cross, be willing to suffer for him.

And follow him, do what he says and do what he does, these are the things he expects us to do if we want to be his disciples.

It is not about getting him to do what we want. It is about doing what he knows is best.

His way is perfect, and he maketh my way perfect.
